Leyla and Marvin trashed the dress one early morning a few days after their wedding day. It was high tide at the beach at Villa Caletas, which means the water comes all the way up to the stone bank that is built there. Because of this I had to be in the water to take pictures...which led to my camera getting wet when a bigger wave splashed up against my legs. I was freaking out a little bit inside, but trying to keep my cool as a few buttons stopped working on the camera. All I wanted to do was get back to the hotel and stick the camera in a bag of rice as quickly as possible. As I was trying to get Leyla and Marvin back to the hotel, Leyla asked if we could take one more at the beach with Marvin holding her. I couldn't say no and just prayed that my camera would be okay. I am so glad we took the photo because it turned out to be my favorite photo from the session. Simply romantic. After the beach we headed back up to the hotel to take some underwater photos in the pool. Leyla asked me months earlier if I could do it, and I told her I never had but was eager to try something new. It was a great learning experience and I am excited to experiment with it more!
