Jenny & Jim Tie the Knot in Remote Drake Bay, Costa Rica

I was so excited when Jenny contacted me about her intimate wedding in Drake Bay. I had never been to the Osa Peninsula before, as it is a very remote part of Costa Rica, so I was beyond thrilled to get to travel their for a wedding. I also instantly knew that this couple were cool people. To have the urge to get married out in the wild you have to be cool! And they were. Jenny and Jim were such a fun loving and down to earth couple. They were so excited about life, about their life together, and about getting married. Excited yet at the same time so laid back.

I drove to Drake the morning of the wedding. I have heard stories about the drive, but since it was the dry season the road wasn't too terrible. I did have to pass through 3 rivers that didn't have bridges, and also cross a bridge that only had slats for where your tires go, which was quite frightening, but I made it.

The wedding took place just before sunset. Jenny was ready when I arrived, and Jim made his way out to meet Marcelo, the officiant. I took just a few photos of Jenny before we headed out to meet on the beach. The couple had found a quiet spot on the beach earlier that day for the ceremony.

We headed back towards the Pirate's Cove Hotel when the hotel dog ran out just in time for photos. Jenny is a huge dog lover and quickly adopted the hotel owners dog as her own. She was so excited to get photos with the little puppy. It was a good thing we did it at this moment because minutes later this sweet little dog was covered from head to toe in wet sand.

Jenny and Jim love to scuba dive. They actually chose Drake Bay as their wedding location because of the world renowned scuba diving at Isla Corcovado. We took some cute shots to show the passion that they both share.
