Richard + Chantelle's Fun Filled Wedding at Villa Sol, Guanacaste

Richard and Chantelle traveled to Costa Rica from Canada. They brought with them a good sized group of about 50 family and friends. For their venue they chose the all inclusive hotel of Villa Sol. Villa Sol is not your typical all inclusive resort. It is a bit smaller, has private houses and villas, and doesn't feel like a chain hotel.

Both Richard and Chantelle (as well as many of their friends) are national level gymnasts and cheerleaders. We were able to take some really fun stunt photos after the ceremony so make sure you keep on reading :)

I started my day with the guys getting ready. Richard and his friends were a fun group, full of humor and excitement.

The ceremony took place on the beach at Villa Sol. It is a very beautiful beach scattered with large rocks. The horizon has small islands jutting out of the water.

The reception was held at a restaurant at the hotel. There was a delicious meal served, dessert, dancing and speeches. I loved the favor the couple offered of Costa Rica coffee beans.

The couple had a great MC who arranged for some games throughout the evening. This one was where they would ask the couple a question such as "If zombies took over the world who would be the one to sacrifice themselves to save the other". The newlyweds would then answer by raising the either their own shoe or the shoe of their spouse.

Another one was where the bride was blindfolded and felt the rears of a handful of men. She needed to guess which one was her husband. Richard then kissed a bunch of "girls" and was to guess who his wife was. They played a little trick on him though and switched some things around.

Lacey + Kirk's Rainy Day Wedding at La Mansion

Lacey and Kirk traveled to Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica to share their vows with each other in front of family and friends. Manuel Antonio is a beautiful beach town surrounded by jungle and rain forest. One of the things about being in the rain forest is that it rains, and even sometimes pours. But rain didn't stop Lacey and Kirk from having a beautiful wedding and a fun time.

I started with Lacey getting ready at La Mansion Inn, a boutique hotel on the Manuel Antonio hillside. She was such a happy go-lucky bride. I just loved her attitude, especially considering the storm that was taking place outside.

The ceremony was originally planned to be on the beach but due to the weather was moved indoors to a pavilion at Costa Verde, a nearby hotel.

The reception was held in a tented event space at La Mansion Inn. It was just the right size for Lacey and Kirk's wedding group.

Lacey's mother had brought along the original toasting glass that Lacey's parents had used at their wedding. It is this woman pictured here, and the groom has to drink from the "skirt" part of the glass, while at the same time the bride must drink from the bucket above the woman's head. It was so very unique and fun.

Ashlee and Ryan traveled with family and friends from Michigan to enjoy the tropics of Costa Rica. They stayed at the all inclusive resort Dreams Las Mareas and had a beautiful ceremony on the beach.
